One month update:I use this almost daily now that summer is full swing. I suffered a heart attack in 2019 and I slowly lost the ability to be out in the heat. I've spent most of my life outside and losing that has been very detrimental to my mental well-being. Although I still can't spend all day outside, having this hat extends the possibility of being out for many hours at a time. Consider it another tool in your toolbox. The hat has kept its shape despite the fans weight. Both fans are still going strong and between the battery and the sun you shouldn't have any problem getting a full day out of it. Still recommend it and do regularly.This thing is nearly perfect and still a 5* product!- Cons and gripesThe button to select fan speed is small and I have to use edge of fingernail to power on and select speed (it's off/low/med/high). Since I've used it several days, I've gotten used to it and it's less of a problem but it needs a better layout. I would prefer an on/off switch so you could select speed and leave it but control it via switch. It has a dip switch, one position is for solar only and the other is for battery. At first I thought it was defective after charging but it worked normally after switching to the correct position (battery). To me, this seems mostly pointless and I'd rather have that as an on/off switch. Fans can be loud since they're near your ears and directed toward your face. Delivery time was almost a month and it's crammed in a smaller box (I knew the delivery time and was fine with it and it kept proper shape despite being in a small box).- ProsDespite the "cons", this is an AMAZING idea and I love it! The brim is on the big side but that provides more sun protection (wearing it while getting in a vehicle will cause it to hit sometimes). It is cheap for the item and quality (hat is made well, time will tell on the fans but they seem thick). It's relatively comfortable (I use a Halo band under it for more sweat control). The pull string for the head fit is a nice feature. Cold air through the fan blows cold air so if you mist it'll be cooler.Everywhere I go with it people are curious and amazed after seeing what it is. I tell everyone to get one and will be handing this out to family and friends that live in HOT Texas with me.
