The watch looks extremely elegant. I bought it Nov 2019 and have received several compliments on how nice it looks from customers. I work in sales so I come in contact with many people every single day. If you don’t like getting compliments on your watches, don’t buy this watch. The watch keeps accurate time as long as it has “power”. I’ve noticed if you stop using the watch for about 30 hours after having been using it all day the previous day, it will stop running. This is the negative on having a manual/movement powered watch. You will have to correct the time frequently if you don’t have a watch winding machine. The watch face is huge! I have thin wrists and at first I was worried about it. Took me about three weeks to get used to the size of this watch on my wrist. My previous two watches were tiny so this was a big step up for me.The bands are black and really shiny at first. I personally thought they looked too flashy and cheap at first but now that they are used and abused, they shiny element has gone away. I actually like the bands now that the shiny finish is rubbed off. I’m not saying they look worn out or crappy. They just have a “used” look to them which I prefer at this point. The wooden box the watch comes in looks very nice and makes giving this as a gift even better.Would I buy it again? YES! At first the brand was holding me back because of some of the reviews on here but I’m glad I bought it anyways. Stuhrling constantly has sales on their website so next time I want a new watch I’m going to jump on it.It was a graduation gift for my son. He loved itThis watch is absolutely stunning. I purchased it as a Valentine's Day gift for my boyfriend and he is completely enamored by it. It is the perfect size for his wrist and looks very sharp. It's a very high quality watch, sturdy and very stylish. The blue accents, bright shining silver and ornate embellishments make this a truly unique piece unlike any other he or I have ever seen. The Krysterna Crystal, which is unique to Stuhrling, on the front and back of the piece is brilliantly clear, you can see every slight movement of the gears and even the movement of the self winding mechanism weight on the back of the piece. From what I researched, Krysterna crystals are more shatter-resistant than sapphire crystals, only time will tell if that is the case but I can say that it is definitely the clearest crystal I have ever seen. The genuine leather calfskin band is comfortable and the stainless steel casing adds just enough weight to give it a sturdy feel without making it too heavy. I had never heard of Stuhrling before I began looking for a watch for my boyfriend but I can assure you that this will not be the last Stuhrling watch I purchase. For the price that you pay the quality, craftsmanship and design is unmatched. There were more expensive watches I could have purchased but this watch had everything I wanted and more. This watch is simply beautiful. From the packaging to the custom logo's cleaning cloth - this would make an excellent gift item for the guy who has almost everything. At around the $250 price point, this watch appears to be a solid value for the buck.UPDATE: After 5 months the minute hand on the smaller watch face fell off, and got chewed up into the open watch gears causing it to stop. I took it to a watch repair and they were able to remove the minute hand from the gears and get the watch back working, but I am missing the minute hand on the smaller time piece.Since I can still tell "Home time" and current time where I am because the minutes would be the same, I'm going to continue to wear the watch. I just wish it didn't happen.Stuhrling Original 371.01 Legacy Silver/Black LeatherMovement: Self-winding automaticCase diameter: 47mmCrystal diameter: 39mmI wanted an everyday, semi-casual timepiece that was suitable for both work and play, across all four seasons. For reference, I typically wear 50mm+ diving watches - including the Invicta Reserve Subaqua Sea Dragon and the Sisu Guardian - but really wanted something a little easier on the wrist during the 110+ degree Phoenix summer. This is a nice automatic movement, for the price.Case size is large enough to be eye-catching, without being ostentatious. The band quality appears to be high and does not exhibit any stains or cracking, even after a week of 16+ hour wear in 110 degree heat. The movement is fun to watch and with regular wear, appears to keep good time. I synced the watch with my smartphone and after 5 days, it has not skipped a beat. For those who are not accustomed to wearing a non-quartz watch -- this movement depends upon manual winding or self-winding from the movement of your arm. If you do not wear the watch regularly, it will slow down and stop. After a 16 hour day, I've let it sit for 12 hours and accuracy has been stellar.Be forewarned, though ... the movement is LOUD. This is a plus for me, as I enjoy hearing the watch at work, but for some, this might be a big minus. Something to consider.Watch broke down about 13 months after purchase. The watch has a 2-year warranty, but it cost me £20 + postage to send it to an authorised repairer (don't know what the £20 was for). Got watch back about 2 months later, but it was less accurate than it was originally (now loses about 20 minutes per day). Now it keeps stopping, even while wearing. I suspect it's going to break down again soon. I have 8 days left of the two year warranty, but I don't think it's worth the £20 + postage to get Stuhrling to fix it AGAIN, because I've lost all confidence in the quality of the product. One thing for sure, I'll never buy anything from this company again. The watch looks great, but what's the point when it fails in it's fundamental purpose - to reliably tell the time with reasonable accuracy. A matter of style over substance.I ordered this phenomenal looking watch end of January and received it a few days later. Initial wear and looks of the watch is great!! After my 2nd time wearing it, I noticed the rotary element developed a rattling sound when spinning around (like it was hitting something). Reaching out to the repair service AND customer service to see if this is a warranty matter, I regrettably have yet to receive a reply after more than a month...recieved watch in good timethis watch is lovely on wristits big and chunky and very heavydivers watch automatic and waterproofwell admired I would recommend this watchto everyone please buy you wont be disapointedanother stuhrling watch for your collectionArrived promptly in time for a Christmas present. In a very nice presentation box with instructions and a small cloth. A very nice looking watch. Although it wasn't for me I think my son was pleased with it and he likes his watches (good ones). This a very stylish watch. Great for special occassions rather than everyday wear. Have to admit that I haven't stop wearing it since I got it 3 days ago, just to get the feel of it. I gave the crown a good 30 winds when I got it and if its worn everyday it should keep going. I'd say it would last 24 hours if not being worn. Setting the time is easy enough. Pull out the crown and wind it both ways for the main hands. Winding the dual time is a little harder, you pull the crown a 2nd time but don't feel any movement or clicking, winding anti-clockwise move the dual hands forward while the main hand go backward so its good idea to set this first and then the main hands after. The instruction manual is quite basic. One minor gripe is the stainless steel casing look kind of cheap but overall I'm very satisfied with this watch, it's an eyecatcher.
