This is a great hat but if you really want to use the ponytail hole it’s not for you. The hole is too low and the hat puffs at the top. I don’t use the hole. The brim is firm and the hat is machine washable. I bought a second in another color. The material is really good quality.Fits my big melon head well with the adjustments all the way out. Like the ponytail hole. Only thing I don’t like about it is because of the color it’s not very shading, still seems bright on my face vs another hat I got that is similar but a darker color.Does what I need it to do but not overly flattering but I'm not going for looks, I'm going for skin safety due to skin cancer. Love the fact that I can keep my hair up off of my shoulders...it's not the easiest hole to use but better than nothing! I'm glad it's there!Sun hat is good quality and the ponytail holder works well.I wore this on a recent trip to Yellowstone. It kept the sun off and it didn’t give me a headache like some hats do. Folds or smashes down pretty small so easy to carry in luggage.It's comfortable and the head strap is adjustable and stays put; the place for a ponytail is perfect. Adjustable chinstrap is comfortable and easy to tuck away when not using - there are side-snaps that allow the brim sides to be positioned up. I've used it hiking in 90+ heat and it was great... rolls up for easy storage.I like the material and the sun protection it provides. I really like the pony tail hole (whole reason I bought this hat) but it wasn’t quite at high as I would have liked. Hence four-star instead of five. Only had a week, but think it will meet my needs!... and she loves it!
